Creative Writing Competition
The Junior Orange Bowl and the South Florida Writers Association team up again this year for the Creative Writing Competition, open to eighth graders in Miami-Dade County. The Creative Writing Committee begins accepting student essays in early September. The writers of the top three winning essays will be honored by the South Florida Writers Association at their monthly meeting in January. The winners will have the opportunity to read their essays to this fine group of professional writers.
The theme for the 2011-2012 Creative Writing Contest is
"Why We Need to Care about Nature and the Environment"
