We’re taking a break from our monthly meeting in order to focus the upcoming events of the Festival Season. The social that would have taken place tomorrow will be postponed until November. Keep an eye out for an upcoming announcement!

Creative Writing Awards Ceremony Set for January

CORAL GABLES, FLA. -- The theme for the 22nd annual Junior Orange Bowl Creative Writing Contest is "What Makes A Family?" This essay contest is open to eighth grade middle-school students in Miami-Dade County.  We received 470 submissions from public and private school students in the county.

Cross Country Breaks New Record for Number of Participants

(MIAMI- Oct 24) Her legs were trembling, and she almost passed out after crossing the finish line, but she did not stop. Her sister, running behind her, felt the same way. Call it sisterly love. Determination starts early for the twins Aylwyn and Emily Hernandez from Hammocks Middle School. The two girls won first and second place in the Junior Orange Bowl Cross-Country Invitational last week, Varsity division.
